Maxis and Nextnation’s Subsidiary Ozura Launch MaxGames

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 October 2006 – Nextnation Communication Berhad’s (MESDAQ: NEXTNAT) wholly owned subsidiary, Ozura Sdn. Bhd. (“Ozura”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Nextnation Communication and a leading international publisher and developer of mobile entertainment, today announced that it has partnered with Malaysia’s leading telecommunications provider, Maxis Communication Berhad, to launch MaxGames – the country’s first subscription based mobile gaming and community portal.

MaxGames runs on FunlogiX™, the proprietary mobile gaming community platform developed by Ozura.

Mobile gaming, a multi billion dollar industry overseas, is fast becoming a staple amongst Malaysian mobile users. In line with this, Maxis hopes to spur gaming in the country with MaxGames, an interactive gaming and community portal which offers subscribers’ a host of benefits and services including tournament games, multiplayer gaming, clubs and blogs, and a virtual gift shop.

MaxGames’ first batch of tournament games is the Dongeng Series which will run until December. The Dongeng Series is a group of five games based on popular Malaysian folklores namely Puteri Gunung Ledang, Pontianak, Badang, Mahsuri and Naga Tasik Chini.

The portal will also offer Ozura’s multiplayer game, “The Duel Online”. Another five multiplayer games are slated for release soon.
