Nextnation Communication Berhad’s Subsidiary, Ozura Sdn. Bhd. (“Ozura”) and Info2cell.com Announce Mobile Gaming Partnership in the Middle East and North Africa

KUALA LUMPUR, September 11: Nextnation Communication Berhad’s (MESDAQ: NEXTNAT) wholly owned subsidiary, Ozura Sdn. Bhd. (“Ozura”), a leading international publisher and developer of mobile entertainment, today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Info2cell.com, the leading mobile application service provider in the Middle East and North Africa.

Under the terms of the agreement, Info2cell.com will publish and distribute Ozura’s premium titles to more than 75 million mobile subscribers throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), including Etisalat—United Arab Emirates’ telecommunications service provider since 1976.

“We are very pleased to have Info2cell.com to join our extensive distribution network of wireless carriers as Info2cell is a very well established wireless application service provider in MENA,” said H.E. Mah, Ozura’s VP of Marketing.

“MENA is a key target market for us as the mobile market in the MENA is proliferating with a significant rise in their number of subscribers which justifies our move into a lucrative region,” added Mah.

According to Juniper, the evolution in mobile games is set to continue in the next five years, approaching $17.6b by 2011 with APAC is projected to contribute 38% of cumulative revenues from 2006 to 2011, surpassing Europe (31%) and North America (22%).

Due to high customer demand, the number of mobile phone subscriptions in the Middle East region has grown by 70 percent last year and UAE has even surpassed the mobile penetration rate of 121.81 percent this year.

These numbers are indicative of the willingness of these nations to adopt mobile technology and with every UAE resident holding more than one sim card on average, Ozura is very optimistic that its mobile gaming industry will experience parallel growth.
